Grand Strand Saltwater Anglers Association Presents Holiday Cash Donation to Fostering Hope in Conway

Conway, South Carolina – The Grand Strand Saltwater Anglers Association (GSSAA), founded in 1983, continued its heartfelt tradition of holiday giving on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, by presenting a cash donation to Fostering Hope in Conway. Raised through the collective efforts of the GSSAA Board and its dedicated members, the contribution will help brighten the holiday season for children and families in need across the region.

“The Christmas season is about giving,” said the GSSAA Board. This aligns perfectly with Fostering Hope’s mission: “Together we can make a difference.” GSSAA President David Rapp delivered the donation to Tabby Shelton, Founder and Executive Director of Fostering Hope, during a special presentation. The funds will support Fostering Hope’s Christmas Program, which serves over 1,000 children in the local area each year with gifts, clothing, and essential items to ensure they feel the joy of the season.

Fostering Hope, established in 2004, is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children in foster care, those displaced by house fires or natural disasters, and families referred by the Department of Social Services and local hospitals. Through its Christmas initiative and year-round programs, Fostering Hope provides not only material aid but also a sense of community and belonging for vulnerable children facing difficult circumstances.

The donation reflects the GSSAA’s commitment to giving back beyond its primary focus on marine conservation and outdoor traditions, showcasing a deep-rooted dedication to strengthening the Grand Strand community.

The GSSAA invites anglers and outdoor enthusiasts to join its ranks and help continue this legacy of generosity. For more information or to get involved, visit Grand Strand Saltwater Anglers Association or email info.grandstrandsa@gmail.com.
