The expansion will enhance production of its American-made fishing rods and enable new ventures into OEM and custom component manufacturing, strengthening its commitment to quality and domestic production.
The Sanford facility will increase output for Cashion’s acclaimed rod lines, including the new Element Z2 Series, the versatile CORE Series, and the flagship ICON Series. These rods, known for their lightweight, durable carbon fiber blanks, cater to diverse fishing styles, from freshwater bass to inshore saltwater species. The expansion ensures Cashion can meet rising demand while maintaining its 100% American-made ethos, with all blanks rolled and rods assembled in the United States.
The new facility will incorporate advanced manufacturing techniques, including Cashion’s proprietary Advanced Interface Bonding (AIB) and High Tg Epoxy (HTE) formulations, delivering superior rod strength and sensitivity. This move will also support specialized rod designs, such as those for Forward Facing Sonar techniques, popular among competitive anglers.
The expansion is expected to create jobs in Sanford, boosting the local economy and reinforcing Cashion’s community ties. By producing blanks and components in-house, the company will offer greater customization for anglers and industry partners, enhancing its reputation for precision craftsmanship. Each rod undergoes a rigorous 33-point inspection, ensuring top-tier quality with premium materials like uni-directional carbon fiber and handmade carbon fiber/fiberglass grips.
